One of our favorite parts of running a small print shop is that we’re never really done learning. There’s always a new technique to try, a new material to test, or a wild idea that starts with “what if we…” and turns into a full afternoon in the shop.
On the embroidery side, we’re excited to push beyond the basics and get into more creative techniques—things like different stitch styles, layered textures, mixed thread finishes, and effects that add depth and personality to a piece. Embroidery is still a newer chapter for us, which makes it even more exciting. Every test run teaches us something new, and we’re looking forward to offering more unique, less cookie-cutter embroidered options.
We’ve also been experimenting with printing beyond apparel, including printing on a variety of things like skateboards! It’s a completely different challenge compared to fabric. Different surfaces, different prep, different expectations, but that’s part of the fun. There’s something really satisfying about taking the skills we use every day and applying them to something unexpected.
Another thing we’re gearing up for is on-site printing! If you’re a New Bern local, you may catch us out and about at events in the near future, printing on demand right then and there. We love the idea of taking the shop outside the shop—meeting people where they are, printing live, and letting folks see the process up close instead of behind the scenes.
On top of that, we’re looking into expanding into more promotional-style products and custom items that go beyond the standard tee or hoodie. We love helping brands create pieces that feel thoughtful and intentional—things people actually want to keep, use, and show off.
And of course, we’ll always be chasing fun ink and color combinations. Mixing unexpected colors, testing specialty inks, and pushing designs just far enough outside the box is what keeps the shop interesting. Some ideas stick, some don’t, but every experiment adds to what we can offer.
At the end of the day, all of this comes from the same place: curiosity and a love for the craft. We’re excited about what’s ahead, what we’re learning next, and sharing those experiments with the community that supports us.
